*Important: Bear in mind that most people choose the companies they invest in for reasons that go beyond the prospect of making money. They usually invest in something they connect with or relate to or care about; hence most effective or compelling pitches appeal to both emotional and business senses of investors. Therefore, use this section to tell the human, emotional, passionate side of your company. Here are some questions that may help you find that story:
- What inspired you to start the company? What drives you to continue each day, especially those days when the going get tough and you feel like quitting?
- Besides the business goals, what do you intend to achieve? How does your company effect a better community or society at large?
*Make sure that your story connects to the problem your company is looking to solve.

- What phrase best describes the stage of your development? Here are some example options:

- Scaling (We are optimizing, and trying to achieve product/market fit)
- Growing (Focus on increasing customer retention and loyalty, testing and refining your marketing strategies)

- How big is the market?
- How do you know people need what you're making?
5. Challenges
- What challenges do you have to overcome to achieve your goals?
6. Competitive Advantage
- How are you better than your competitors?
- Do you have intellectual Properties (IP) that gives you an advantage over your competitors?
7. Revenue Model
- How does your company make money?
8. Current Market Traction
- Who is currently paying for your product/service? Just family, friends, colleagues, and immediate network or have you acquired customers outside our immediate network?
- Summarize your progress and achievements so far in a few bullet points. If you have numbers and charts to support this, that would be great.
9. Financials (Projections)
- Provide your financial projections for at least the next How do you plan to use the funds you are looking to raise?
10. Roadmap / Timeline To Profitability
- When do you forecast to reach break-even and profitability?
- How will you get there? Provide a step-by-step roadmap.
11. Use of Funds
- How do you plan to use the funds you are looking to raise?
- What part of your roadmap do these funds play?
- How do you plan to raise any further funds needed to reach profitability?
12. Leadership & Advisory Team
- Who are the key members of your leadership team?
- How is each of those members uniquely qualified to provide the best solution to the particular problem? (special skills, experience et cetera)
- Are there any seat(s) available on your directors board for new investors?
- Who are your advisory team and how will they help you reach your goals?
13. Exit Strategy
- How much equity is available for the capital you are looking to raise?
- Did you have your company's valuation done? If so, by who? (reputable authority)
- When can investors expect to recover their investment? In what form? profit share or capital gain? Do you have plans for acquisition/merger, investor buyout, IPO, or do you plan to distribute dividends?
